Where to stay

Myeongdong

Shopping streets, street food and many hotels in central Seoul.

Limousine bus about 1 h 15 min; or AREX Express to Seoul Station (43 min from T1), then Line 4.

Hongdae

Young, lively area around Hongik University: indie music, cafés, nightlife.

AREX All-stop to Hongik Univ. Station (check the AREX timetable).

Gangnam

Business district with wide streets, shopping malls and nightlife south of the Han River.

Airport limousine bus (check the airport bus timetable) or AREX + subway.

Seongsu

Former factory area with cafés, pop-up stores and design shops by the Seoul Forest.

No direct airport rail — AREX plus subway Line 2, or an airport bus/taxi.

Dongdaemun

Late-night fashion malls and markets around Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

AREX Express to Seoul Station, then Line 4 to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park.

Haeundae (Busan)

Busan’s best-known beach, with hotels along the seafront.

From Gimhae Airport: Busan–Gimhae Light Rail to Sasang, then Metro Line 2.

Seomyeon (Busan)

Busan’s central downtown, where Metro Lines 1 and 2 meet; shopping and food.

Which area is easiest from Incheon Airport?

Areas on the AREX line or a limousine bus route are the simplest. Myeongdong has a limousine bus (about 1 h 15 min) and is close to Seoul Station, where AREX Express arrives in about 43 minutes from Terminal 1; Hongdae has its own AREX stop (Hongik Univ.).

How much is a hotel per night in Seoul?
